TabTrade — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, that range is broad.
The Software
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That would make the platform set once it is live.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
Now, the detail that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. None of this make it safe. But factor into how you think about it.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, TabTrade add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
